Poem: Our True Banner of Love

The courage to love is a gift of God.
One step… small steps in obedience.
Steps rooted in truth,
a life of truth in love begins
a profound work in our hearts.
Now steady, it purifies;
The truth of His word and Spirit, our guide,
Piercing, dissolving all confusion, His light leads on.
… His love in Creation, from the Beginning
… clothing and defending us even in the Fall
… a pillar of fire before us by night,
… pierced as a substitutionary sacrifice,
Risen and glorified, gone ahead to ready the End,
These things…
are our Good News, through Jesus, our true Banner of Love.
