In music theory, a 6m (vi) triad often resolves to a 1M (I) triad, also called the root. That is the 6th chord in the key (which is minor, lower case roman numerals for 6) leads to the 1st chord in the key (which is Major, upper case roman numeral for 1). On a guitar, an example is Am – C, the 6 to the 1. A little more complicated, the chord progression could pass quickly through the 7 (vii) perhaps: Am – B (perhaps Em7/B) – C for example, where the 7 is a leading tone within the resolution of the vi – I, thusly: vi – vii – I.

It’s the One that brings resolution.

God’s final resolution rests solely on Christ (John 14:6). He made Jesus His last covenant for humanity (Luke 22:20). Paul reminds us about The Jesus Resolution as he writes this letter to Corinth (1 Corinthians 2:2). John writes to his loved ones and says to resolve to the One (1 John 2:6).

Resolution is in God’s truth and spirit. Sometimes the rain is unstoppable.
