Altar of the Heart

Lord, you know my heart completely. You have searched me mercilessly. Psalm 139:1. Your breath fills me with the greatness that you are. You bring light to the darkness.

“Even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.” Psalm 139‬:‭12‬.

Reveal the things to turn away from.

“Even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” ‭‭Psalm 139‬:‭10‬.

I pour out my praise for you alone, O Lord. God placed an altar in my heart. For you Lord, I surrender anything hindering and unholy strongholds that separate me from you. I pivot and repent.

Bring us to one accord with your righteousness. I want to better love others the way your Son loves me.

“You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.” ‭‭Psalm 139‬:‭2‬-‭3.

I seek the grace and humility that is pleasing to you, Lord. I love you, Holy Spirit.

“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭12

“Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭9

And, yes, iron sharpens iron. No, not evil for evil, but iron for iron. I am my brother’s keeper to admonish and encourage in the way of the gospel of Christ.

“With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith.” 2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1‬:‭11

“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” Micah‬ ‭6‬‬:‭8‬

Our Father. Thank you, Lord, for increasing my faith. Your word is truth. I trust you, O Lord. Amen
