I believe this was shown to me by God as a path for my coming ministry as a disciple of the Good News. To bring people to Christ. I desire to introduce people to Christ that don’t know him. More importantly, I desire to open up the real Jesus to those that have him in a box because of what they have been taught by Man, without the whole truth.
We are meant to worship the real Jesus through the Holy Spirit. This is where we find God, through the Advocate (Helper: John 14:16, 26; 15:26; 16:7)(1 John 2:1). Worshiping Jesus in a box is idolatry and the real God also exists outside of the box. These words were inspired by my Pastor, and encouraged by a random couple of sermons at a random time in my day on a random channel on an app while I was driving around on errands “the Well: the voice of life”.
- Who do you follow?
- Who do you belong to?
- Who was your first true love?
- Who did everything for you?
- Who calls you by name?
Test the Spirits:
Have you studied the Bible? Have you understood God’s Word?
Do you follow the word of a political party more than you follow the Word in the bible?
Does your belief in one or two bullet points of a political party determine how you vote for regardless of who the candidate is?
Do you trust the word of a public figure, celebrity, TV show host or news anchor more than you trust the Words in the Bible?
Do you test the spirit with everything you see and hear, or are you open to whatever comes your way?
When you listen to a sermon from your favorite minister, do you use discernment and test what they say? Do you have faith in what Man says, or do you have faith in what the Bible says?
Do you worship the one living God, or do you worship the Man of God who says things that makes you feel better on Sundays and Wednesdays?
Identity in Christ:
Do you identify the way the world sees you, or do you identify as God sees you?
Do you you compare yourself to others, and want what they have?
Do you worship something about yourself, your gender, your sexual orientation, your identity? Or do you worship the Holy Spirit that dwells within you?
Are you willing to lay down every adjective that describes you, and become something new?
Do you know who you are, and whose you are?
Are you authentic in your faith?
If you say that you crucify your flesh daily, do you really?
Some believe that knowing they are a child of God and part of His family is a core aspect of their identity. No one is an orphan, we all belong to Him.
Man is often deceitful, therefore, guard your heart (Jeremiah 17:9).
Who Limits God?
We are self-centered creatures. We like our comfort, our ideas, and most of all our control. We like to rule over our own lives. So when our will conflicts with God’s, the temptation is to change God to suit us. It doesn’t seem like outright rebellion. We are just changing God a bit. This new improved version will agree with us. Our flesh desires to take refuge in a false version of God rather than submit to the real one. As a result, we manufacture an idea of God and His righteousness that is more palatable to us. We put God in a box. (LINK to where this paragraph came from, if you seek more like this.)
I call on the name of Jesus to cast down the spirit of apostasy, and all hindering spirits shall be bound in heaven for you on this day that you read this. In the name of Jesus. Praise God!! Ask God to activate your gift of discernment so you may test the spirits, and rebuke false teachings.
